Kalani David was born in Hawaii, from a Costa Rican mother. David was a professional surfer and skater. Kalani David died on Saturday, September 17, after suffering a seizure while surfing off the pacific coast of Costa Rica. He drowned while surfing in Playa Hermosa, Jaco Costa Rica. Kalani was only 24 years old according to his friends and authorities. This horrible news was reported by Surfer photographer Peter King. The surfing legend suffered from a condition called Wolff-Parkinson's white syndrome. This causes the heart to beat rapidly, often causing seizures. Apparently he had a huge one while in the water and that is what caused his death.
