ABOUT THEM

Animales de Asís is a private no-kill no-profit sanctuary founded in 2000 with the capacity to shelter up to 200 dogs and cats. Many of the rescued animals were most likely victims of animal abuse or cruelty.

The official sanctuary is located in Alto del Roble, Heredia. It is a huge valley that provides the animals with food, water, shelter, medical treatment, and, most importantly, lots of love.

How to adopt a pet

Are you lonely, or do you want to save a life? Adopt a pet! They have around 50 dogs and cats (mostly dogs) up for adoption, you don’t even buy them, you donate $20 for other pets and go on your way.
